About Me
Hi!
My name is Jessica. I am a 23-year-old Communications and Marketing Coordinator. However, I am much more than that. I am a photographer and videographer. I have passions of all varieties, and I have had the privilege in my few years to experience a great deal.
My true passion is to be creative and use a multitude of outlets to share my ideas and creativity with others. I have been a photographer on movie sets within Ottawa and a cinematographer. I have travelled to places around the world to showcase what I experience and my vision through the lens of my camera.
My photography journey started in elementary school. I was the kid that would bring my camera to school every day and photograph my world as I experienced it. I later went into the Photography club in middle school and again in High school. However, that journey briefly stopped when it was time to select my program and courses for college. I went into Business because it was what teachers told me I should do, as the job field is large and diversified. After a year in Business, I decided to do what made me happy rather than what would bring me a job and money. I applied and was accepted into the Photography and Media Design Program. During this time, I was able to work on Film sets, work alongside other photographers, and navigate through social media to advertise and market a business.
After college, I had the opportunity to attend University, where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Social Communications. During my studies, I discovered a whole new world in the innovative industry, a job I could use both communications and my imaginative mind to develop original and bewildering content. The communications and Marketing field is where I found comfort and a place to explore so many possibilities and bring my past experiences into play.
I continue to branch off and experience new opportunities, as there is never-ending paths that you can take in life. I have worked in a law office, been an assistant recruiter, and worked as a Data Entry clerk within the government. These professions have given me skillsets that better me as a communications and marketing professional. I will keep building my career and my abilities as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
